Alumni Medallion

Dear Friends:

What the world needs more than ever is connection.  Especially remembering and reaching out to the connections we already have.  We are all lucky to be part of an almost 70 year old alumni community whose foundation is unconditional love.  

We want to connect with our Marwood people and for you all to light up with unconditional love and Marwood Spirit - that flame that resides in all of us.   

To enable that, we have created a special alumni medallion which is a wooden replica of the metal medallions our campers get as they graduate from Marwood Jr. High camp.  These beautiful medallions were commissioned by Adam Jurevicius (camper 1989-1990, counselor 2019-present) and the replicas were crafted by Indianapolis based artist Jamie Locke.

Here are the deets:

1. Click HERE to make a donation of any amount and be sure to choose “alumni medallion” as your option. (If you’re looking for guidance on an amount, $20 would help cover our costs. Any funds above and beyond covering our costs will go directly to support the camps.)

2. We’ll send you a special care package that includes the medallion and a couple other surprise goodies.

3. If making a donation at this point in your life is not accessible, please reach out to donations@muuyc.org with your contact information (address, phone number, years you attended camp) and we’ll send you a package to share the love.

4. Spread the word to your Marwood friends - not everyone is on social media, so please text, email etc - ask how they are, tell them you love them and share this link.  

You would be amazed at the mountains our volunteer counselors have moved in the past 5 years to keep camp going, growing and evolving to meet the needs of our current campers and we could really use a little extra love!

Knowing these medallions are going out into the universe and into the hands of our amazing alumni and creating these sparks of light in our web, helps strengthen the love and support of our beloved Marwood community.
